#5 Monday Musings - Listening to Our Bodies

#5 Listening to Our Bodies

I got sick over the Christmas Holiday and won’t be sharing my longer format content today.

In 2024, I spent a lot of time learning to listen to my body (which can be surprisingly difficult after realizing I spent the better part of my life ignoring my body’s signals to me!), and right now my body is telling me to rest - and I am going to listen.

I feel lucky to have access to healthcare, the ability to allow my body to rest and recover, and to be taken care of and loved by my husband Conor Clark in addition to the friends who have answered medical questions and made offers to bring food. It’s really powerful to be loved!

I hope to be able to share again in a longer format next week. A lot has been on my mind in the last week including: violence (the seemingly inoculus acts we make that hurt one another in addition to the systems and structures which hurt us all), family systems and behaviors (if we want to have a different experience, how can we facilitate that?), and thoughts on my priorities as we head into the new calendar year.

I hope you are all well (Mask up! Get your boosters!).
